Medium-bodied wine; crowd pleaser. Cropped at 2.5 tons per acre and aged in American oak puncheons for 24 months with 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Syrah added for additional mouthfeel and complexity. Concentrated boysenberry and raspberry fruits coupled with high notes of peony flowers dominate the nose. Racy acidity will make this age-worthy and a food pairing favorite. Cuts through rich pasta dishes and wild mushroom risotto. Exceptional balance and sophisticated structure to further develop for three to five more years.

Sara Lee and Shiraz #7 clones were blended and aged for 25 months in one-year old Burgundian barriques. Blending these two clones from three blocks in the vineyard give this Syrah layer after layer of blackberry, asphalt, white grapefruit and spice notes on the nose with a balanced, full mouthfeel and lengthy finish. Aromas of massive tar, asphalt, black fruits, with high notes of pummelo and violets express themselves fully as this Syrah opens in your glass. Enjoy with lamb, stews, and other hearty fare. This complex wine has enough power to lay down a further eight to ten years.

Wallula Vineyard; Bordeaux style blend. Our very best barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Merlot (31%), Petit Verdot (12%), Cabernet Franc (9%), and Malbec (5%) were aged separately in new French oak for 13 months and then blended into French puncheons for another year. Dark, deep red fruits, cassis and demerara emerge as the wine develops in the glass. The wine finishes with high notes of violets and pencil shavings. Full in the mouth with a long, lingering finish and fine, drying tannins. Detailed in the nose with cedar, graphite and anise characters, the wine delivers layer after layer of cassis, licorice, and feminine red fruits. Approachable now, but has structure, acidity and fine, natural tannins that will allow it to develop in the cellar for the next two decades.

A testament to Washington Sara Lee Syrah! This blockbuster was siphoned directly into a special Francois Freres puncheon for 15 months on its lees. A proprietary yeast gave the desired spice needed to balance the massive fruit structure. No pressings were used and still the wine has plenty of supportive tannins to make it age well for more than two decades. Floral and hedonistic, this one is for serious collectors. Very full mouthfeel with endless length. Aromas of black fruits, berries, licorice, citrus peel, spice and floral characters. Pair it with grilled lamb chop or New York steak. Can be approached now, but cellaring will reward those who are patient over the next fifteen to twenty years.
